This week we return to the Ace in the Hole Pub for a new, fresh act named Kate Van Horn.  Kate and her backup are one of those acts that really are what this podcast is all about…  a new performer with both everything… and nothing to lose getting up in front of an unknown audience and singing her heart out.  Her ballads are poignant yet uplifting… a real pleasure to listen to. There is a Tori Amos influence you can’t miss.  A few months back I had tried to capture her music, but she had to cancel the show due to laryngitis. Turned out, she has a voice, which was really worth waiting for.  You’ll hear what I mean in just her first song.
