Lots of travel, lots of great music… including SFs Outside lands… but it looks like we’re back… at least in a more limited version. Finding shows at our venues when I have the time to record as well as get releases has also been challenging. But I persevered and this week we have a great act called StillTime. A great sound with some of the band members actually coming form the local area. We’re also back at one of my favorite venues the Abbey at the Hopmonk Tavern in Sebastopol, CA.
I got a great spot in the just the right place to get some great binaural sound for you. If you listen with headphones or earbuds you should get the whole effect… so kick back pour a pint of local brew and check out Stilltime….
Ahhh… it’s nice to be back… I really liked StillTime… these guys seems to have a real good handle on how to get the audience going. They start the song with a good dance… move to beat… interesting lyrics… but my favorite thing they do is they seem to know how to cook it up into a crescendo… GREAT stuff man!
Thanks to StillTime. Check out their myspace page where you can here more of their sounds at http://www.myspace.com/stilltimeband. Also check out their web site at www.stilltimemusic.com for all sorts of info like their tour schedule and links to videos…
It’s real good to be back and as you can see it has been hard to keep the length of the show down. Hopefully the next NorthBay will feature a band called Soulive… This show is already recorded and I’m just waitn on the release to do the mix. A real powerhouse act with a strong beat and a killer brass section that just makes ya move.
Thanks again to Patrick, and Dean at the Hopmonk Tavern.
The Hopmonk Tavern is at 230 petaluma avenue in sebastopol California. Hopmonk is perfectly located in the middle of town right on the Joe Rodota bike trail. Hopmonk features great food, awesome ales and as you can hear some great music. Check out what The Hopmonk Tavern and the Abbey have to offer www.Hopmonk.com.
