Mary founded Dabble in 2005. After working at Adobe Systems in the 1990's she conducted research and got a Master's of Information Science from UC Berkeley's where she developed algorithms and front end systems for several live web search engines. She also conducted research on social search algorithms for understanding data in more complex ways. After Berkeley, she worked on similar systems at several companies including Technorati.
She writes about online collaboration and disruptive technologies at Napsterization. She researches and writes on intellectual property, security and privacy, and was a founder in the first blog at the UC Berkeley Journalism School on those topics.
