Rob Zimmerman serves as the Senior Staff Engineer for Water Conservation Initiatives at Kohler Co, a company that was founded in 1873 and is a global leader in the manufacturing of kitchen and bath products. In his position at Kohler Rob is involved with all aspects of water conservation relevant to plumbing fixtures and faucets. Some of his responsibilities include working with government regulators and water utilities on water conservation program development, helping professionals in the green building industry understand how to design water-efficient buildings, and supporting and growing Kohler’s line of water-efficient plumbing products.
Rob is a member of AWWA, the Wisconsin Water Resources Association, and regularly participates in meetings of the Plumbing Manufacturers’ Institute, the California Urban Water Conservation Council, and is a member of the steering committee that helped advise EPA on the formation of its new water-efficient product labeling program called WaterSense. Rob is a LEED Accredited Professional. Rob has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University, and a MS in Engineering Management from the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
