Originally from France, Dr. Henri P. Gaboriau obtained his first medical degree at the School of Medicine in Paris. He then transferred to Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, La., where he received his second medical degree in 1994. He stayed at Tulane Medical Center to do his residency in the field of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. Following his residency, Dr. Gaboriau moved to Seattle to do a Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Washington. In 2000, he opened the Sammamish Center for Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is currently the director of this facility.

Dr. Henri Gaboriau is Board Certified and a diplomate of both the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. He is also a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. He is licensed to practice medicine in both the states of Washington and California. Dr. Gaboriau is expert in all aspects of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and has over 12 years of experience and expertise that ranges from the traditional face-lift, eyelid surgery, and nose surgery to the advanced endoscopic forehead lift. He has also had extensive training and experience in the treatment of head, neck and skin cancer.

Dr. Henri Gaboriau is expert in psychological issues related to plastic surgery, ranging from the pre-operative psychological assessment of facial cosmetic patients to facial plastic surgery as it relates to personality disorders. He has received national recognition for his expertise in the psychological aspects of plastic surgery. Dr. Gaboriau is the only plastic surgeon in the nation to write questions pertaining to the psychological side of cosmetic surgery for the annual national board of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He is also in charge of reading and choosing articles pertaining to this subject for the Fellowship Compodium.

Dr. Gaboriau is the author of numerous, well-respected peer review articles as well as many feature articles to help educate consumers and to build awareness among the general public. He has been a guest speaker on several TV/radio talk shows that explore topics as wide ranging as facial trauma, BotoxR, and the psychological aspects of facial cosmetic surgery. The Puget Sound Business Journal, Seattle Magazine, Star Magazine, Glamour Magazine, Allure Magazine, New Beauty, Body Beautiful, Internet Broadcast News, The Plastic Surgery Advisor, cosmeticsurgery.com, KOMO Northwest Afternoon, and newsfactor.com have interviewed him.

Dr. Gaboriau devotes time to voluntary humanitarian and service activities to Indian Health Service, in South Dakota, and Obstetric-Gynecology at La Rabta Hospital in Tunis, Tunisia. Dr. Gaboriau is the co-founder of the non-profit organization "Face, Heart and Mind Foundation," formerly known as Heart 2 Heart, dedicated to helping disfigured, battered children, and he provides facial plastic surgery to injured children at no charge. Dr. Gaboriau is also a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for the Healionics Corporation.
