Charles Moser, PhD, MD, FACP, is now a private practitioner in Internal Medicine and Sexual Medicine in San Francisco. He is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Sexual Medicine at the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality. He got his Bachelor’s degree in physics, a Master’s in Social Work and then a PhD in human sexuality.  He practiced as a sex therapist for a number of years before going to medical school where he specialized in internal medicine. He's widely published in such journals as the Journal of Psychology and Human Sexuality and Sexuality, Reproduction, and Menopause. His academic papers cover sexual topics such as nipple piercing, sadomasochism, safer sex, orgasm, and the effects of recreational drugs on sexual functioning.
