Jack Gescheidt, a professional photographer since 1988, was born and raised in and around the wilds of New York City by two professional photographer parents, Rae Russell and Alfred Gescheidt.
His photography has appeared in numerous national magazines, books, calendars, posters, greeting cards and advertising.
It also draws upon some of his most powerful childhood memories of time spent in the country: playing in streams and ponds, racing through fields, running in the downpour of thunderstorms, and of course climbing trees.
He received many new insights during his interview with "thera-journalist," Meredith Medland and continues to move forward with his dreams.
One of the quotes he was reminded of shortly after the interview,
"Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it.
Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it."
Now 47, he lives in Marin county, CA and continues to grow just like the tress he photographs.
