Susan Shapiro Barash teaches “Gender Studies” at Marymount Manhattan College and the author of 10 non-fiction women’s issue books, including: “Little White Lies, Deep Dark Secrets: The Truth About Why Women Lie”;  “Tripping The Prom Queen:  The Truth About Women And Rivalry”;  “A Passion For More:  Wives Reveal The Affairs That Make Or Break Their Marriages”;  “The New Wife:  The Evolving Role of The American Wife”, and;  “Women or Divorce:  Mothers, Daughters, Stepmothers – The New Triangle”.

“Little White Lies, Deep Dark Secrets: The Truth About Why Women Lie” is based on interviews with hundreds of women of all social strata , ethnicity and ages, from across the country, and offers insights into the choices women make and their innermost feelings about these choices.

Barash is a board member for the Center for the Advancement of Women.  She is also a member of the New York Women in Film and Television/mentoring committee, Writers Guild of America East, American Society of Journalists and Authors, and the Authors Guild.  She presently serves as a preliminary judge for the International Emmys and as a literary panelist for the New York State Council on the Arts.

Susan Shapiro Barash has appeared on local and national TV as well as hundreds of radio programs across the country.
