Born in Bombay, India, Vipe's family moved him to Torrance, CA at a very young age, which is where his love of the ocean developed.  He adapted quickly to California beach culture and by the age of 14 he was a regular fixture in the waters of Hermosa beach.  Vipe's career began at the retail level, founding H20 surf shop in Orange County after attending college in San Diego.  It was through his surf shop that Vipe first became involved with the non-profit Surfrider Foundation, which is the sole beneficiary of monies raised through project BLUE.

In 2000, Vipe founded his marketing firm, Propaganda Headquarters.   Based in San Clemente, the firm which helps action sports and mainstream brands (Fed-Ex, Dr. Pepper, DaimlerChrysler) in their communication needs.  The non-profit Surfrider Foundation was quickly added to his roster as a pro-bono client and Vipe has been incredibly instrumental it it's continued marketing success.  Everything from PSA's involving celebrities to the new project BLUE initiative are due to Vipe's hard work and love of the oceans, waves and beaches.
