Rohit is a marketer, blogger, speaker and author of the anticipated new book, Personality Not Included -- a guide for companies on understanding and using their personality to better connect with customers in the social media era. The book is published internationally by McGraw-Hill, has received significant early praise and features a forward by bestselling author and entrepreneur, Guy Kawasaki. As SVP in the 360 Digital Influence team at Ogilvy, Rohit is a founding member of this pioneering group dedicated to helping clients to understand social media and word of mouth marketing and evolve their marketing to better connect with consumers in an authentic and powerful way. Some of his key client relationships include Intel, Lenovo, Unilever, and Virgin America.

Rohit has been blogging for more than 3 years, he writes the Influential Marketing blog (now ranked among the top 50 marketing blogs in the world) and is often featured as an expert in media including The Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, and Fast Company. He is generally credited across the marketing industry (and on Wikipedia) with inventing the concept of Social Media Optimization (SMO) on his blog. He is also a frequent speaker at industry events including ad:tech, SXSW, and Wharton Business Summit, and most recently his appearances have included a host of keynote presentations at marketing events sponsored by the American Marketing Association and several others.

Over the past dozen years, Rohit has led many teams to deliver award winning marketing strategy and creative campaigns, including a role prior to joining Ogilvy as Executive Producer of the Interactive team at Leo Burnett Ad Agency in Sydney, Australia. His diverse international background includes working in the UK, Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines, India and South Africa.

Rohit recieved his BBA in International Marketing from the Roberto C. Goizueta Business School at Emory University and also holds an MA in Professional Writing from George Mason University. He is married and lives in Washington DC with his wife and two young sons.
