Kathryn R. Simpson, M.S., has spent the last seven years conducting endocrine research after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and finding that her symptoms were caused by multiple hormonal deficiencies. Resolving these deficiencies has led to complete resolution of all her symptoms.

In 2006, she founded a specialty hormone clinic with a doctor partner to treat hormone imbalance and diseases such as MS, Lupus and fibromyalgia.  She used her research and anecdotal experience at the clinic to write The Perimenopause & Menopause Workbook published by New Harbinger Publications in 2006. Her second book, The MS Solution, was published in March 2008 and a third The Women’s Guide to Complete Thyroid Health will be out later this year.

Prior to this in 2001, she founded a company to focus on research and development of therapies for treatment of endocrine related disorders. The company entered into collaboration agreements with American Bioscience, Inc. and American Pharmaceutical Partners to develop several novel new bio-identical drug therapies.

In the twenty years preceding this, Ms. Simpson held the following executive positions: CEO of FISK Communications, Inc. where she was responsible for management of the design, manufacture and launch of the company’s proprietary telecommunications product; Director of Operations at ISIS Pharmaceutical, a biotech research and development company specializing in gene therapy; Vice President at General Instrument Corp., responsible for internal operations as well as product security for a manufacturer of broadcasting equipment for the satellite and cable television markets; REMEC, Inc., a manufacturer of wireless communications systems where she was Vice President of Administration. She was part of a management team that grew the company from $7 million in annual sales to $75 million in 4 years. Before this she was in management at Hoescht Pharmaceutical, in the diagnostics products group.

Ms. Simpson received a Bachelor’s degree from Ohio Wesleyan University and a Masters of Science degree from USC.

Author and researcher, Kathryn R. Simpson, M.S., has spent years researching, speaking and writing about the importance of hormones in health. Her commitment to advancing this awareness came when she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and extensive research showed that her symptoms were caused by multiple hormonal deficiencies. Resolving these deficiencies has led to complete resolution of all her symptoms. Her books include The Perimenopause & Menopause Workbook, The MS Solution: How I Solved the Puzzle of My Multiple Sclerosis, and The Women’s Guide to Thyroid Health.
