Daniel Rizzuto is an academically trained neuroscientist, having received his PhD from Brandeis University. He went on after that to do post-doc work at Cal Tech, in Los Angeles and is now managing a major clinical research project at Northstar Neuroscience in Seattle, WA. Daniel is also a long-time meditator, having been influenced by both the Theravada and Zen traditions. On speaking about the meeting of these two worlds he has said that, "the intersection of science and contemplative practice presents the most radical and beneficial force for transformation."
